Your awakening weapon still effects your succession damage but is not as much of a priority. This will give you a totally seperate skill tree that enhances your main hand skills and only has a few awakening skills. Tamer succession can be unlocked after level 56 after speaking to the Black Spirit and completing the Succession quest under the suggestions tab. Can be tedious to grind due to so many skill cancels.Difficult to play with high skill ceiling.Lacking in node wars (other than their 100% skills burst).Low base damage reduction (very squishy). That doesn’t mean that a Tamer doesn’t have a place in node wars though, in fact they can be really scary when placed in a bomb squad role because their skill “Allround Spinner” (100% black spirit skill) has incredible burst and they have a great engage.Ĭheck out the video below to see some examples of character combat. For node wars they can be somewhat average because they just can’t survive long enough and don’t really have the best kit for largescale PVP. Your pet can also stun while you are in your iframes and give you great opportunities or save you in some cases. But Tamer really shines in 1v1 situations because they have great engages and a good amount of iframes. They are quite average in both low end PVE and the high end PVE spots. They are also one of the squishiest classes because of their low base damage reduction so if you make a mistake it can be very punishing. At level 56, Tamer unlocks her awakening skills and a new awakening weapon, which is the Celestial Bo Staff.Īwakened Tamer is considered one of the harder classes to play because they have a lot of skill cancels and really require a lot of work to master. Tamer also uses a Shortsword as their main hand weapon, and a Trinket as their secondary weapon. The Tamer class is very dependent on their pet and should keep it summoned at all times during combat. Once you reach level 49 another skill becomes available which allows you to ride your pet as a mount and attack whilst riding it. At level 20 you are able to summon your pet “heilang” who will aid you in combat. The Tamer class has one of the most unique play styles in Black Desert. The class discords are a great place to start, most have their own guides and resources as well as plenty of skilled players willing to help with questions. You should really adapt the guide and follow your own instincts to match your play-style! I also highly recommend looking at as many different sources as possible and gathering as much information as you can about your class before deciding what is best for you and how you play. Remember that class guides are a rough explanation of the class, designed to give you an idea of the class and what you should be aiming for. (Some parts of this guide, such as skill descriptions are skill under development and will be coming at a later date)
